Governors Required
Communitas Education Trust is currently seeking governors to join its various school's local governing bodies.
School governors are people who want to make a positive contribution to children’s education.
The governing body has a key role in the development and oversight of the school. It is governors who hold the main responsibility for standards within schools, and who work with the head teacher to make the tough decisions about balancing resources. The governing body does not get involved with the day to day running of the school which is the responsibility of the Headteachers.
We have six meetings a year and governors attend three committee meetings regarding curriculum or finance and three full governing body meetings.
If you would like to know more about the role, we will be happy to speak to you in more depth. You can also visit the National Governance Association website here
If you are interested in becoming a governor, please submit a photo, CV and short biography explaining the following (biographies should be no more than 300 words).
· About you
· Why you would like to be a governor.
· What skills you believe you can bring to the governing body.
· What impact you feel you will make within the Governor Role.
Please submit your expression of interest to contact@communitaseducation.co.uk
We look forward to hearing from you.
